Quality Assurance

The Irish Equine Centre is committed to providing a world-class service to its customers. It maintains strict adherence to best practice in Quality Assurance.

The Microbiology, Virology, Nutrition and Environment Units have ISO17025 Accreditation for a wide range of tests, which meet the specific and defined requirements of customers. They continue to extend their Scope of Accreditation annually.

The Centre maintains a separate and wholly independent Quality Assurance department at its premises in Johnstown, Co. Kildare. This provides support to all Units at the Irish Equine Centre through the management of quality systems, training and auditing. In combination with external inter-laboratory and proficiency test programmes, it also ensures that the Centre maintains the highest possible standards and that a policy of continuous improvement with regard to international best practice is adhered to.
