Copper (serum)

Levels are increased in infection, leukaemia, some anaemias, thyroid disorders and cirrhosis. Levels are decreased in lack of copper in the diet, iron deficient anaemia, loss of caeruloplasmin, nephrosis and protein losing enteropathy.
