Rhodococcus equi – Cholesterol oxidase (ChoE) PCR

This test detects the presence of Rhodococcus equi in various sample types through the PCR detection of the cholesterol oxidase (ChoE) gene. ChoE is found in virulent and avirulent R. equi.
