The Environment and Nutrition department offers direct services to the veterinary community as well every horse owner in the equine industry and all members of the farming community. The Environment and Nutrition Department offer a holistic approach to the management of environment factors that affect horses and farm animals. In addition to our laboratory-based work our staff do daily farm visits and take part in knowledge transfer events providing educational talks to all sectors of the equine industry. Our moto in terms of the influence of environmental factors on equine and animal health is that “being proactive is better than reactive”.
